Are side bag seals available for these bikes. I just bought a 24k mile bike in excellent condition with full luggage and trunk for $200 It sat in garage for 20 years. I have a pair of 1969 honda cb750 with sequential vin numbers. Both bikes under 500 miles. They were part of an abandoned Honda dealer/shop I bought in an estate sale along with 2 haul trucks full of new parts. Badges. Decals. 1 new 750 crate motor. 2 complete sets of new in package 69,or so body work. Blue candy over flake and red set. Thinking of selling both bikes. Any idea what they are selling for. Both still have original tires and look as close to show room as they get. My back is getting to bad to enjoy riding and hate seeing these bikes sitting. Would like to see them have a deserving home and get a fair price. Any suggestion on price would be appreciated. Also be willing to sell off all the parts in 1 sale. Have a bunch of honda dealer tools. Stacks and boxes of factory repair manuals. Brochures. Owners books. You name it. Everything is not honda from early 60s to mid 70s. Far too much to catalog for 1 person.

Amazing job as always Kevin. I have a cosmo black as well with a dealer added vetter which is good and bad news. Good news in the winter and bad news in the summer. You make all that restoration stuff sound so easy. Take care and keep in keeping on.

What a beauty! That's the bike I wanted to ride across country in 1981. But I was a poor college student and couldn't afford a new one. So I bought a 1978 used Honda Hawk 400 instead. It got me there and back. I saw lots of these and the old BMW flat engine bikes out on the long road. I don't have the itch to buy a GL500 anymore but it would be fun to ride one and see if it was everything I thought it was.

I've had my Gl500 Interstate for a few years now, these bikes are stone cold reliable, with minimum service, the bikes been a simple joy to own. I love your bike, congratulations. I live in Brazil, but I have an apartment in Orlando where I had a 1982 Honda 750 Nighthawk for a few years. It made me happy for many years, but I got tired of having to clean the 4 carburetors every year, because it sat idle for many months when I returned to Brazil. I'm a mechanical engineer and my pride wouldn't let anyone help me. Now I have a 2014 Honda CB1100 that I bought from my friend who bought it new. Very glad to hear you are recovering well! This unit looks and sounds great; I would expect no less of you. Reminds me that poor old "Imoto" has been waiting for a couple of years now for me to set her straight. I have a whole low-mile GL500 Interstate (minus frame, forks, and wheels) sitting waiting to be integrated with it. But I have the 2012 NC500X, and I bought an old wooden sailboat last summer, so I have been distracted, I guess. This clip really makes me miss the sheer pleasure of riding a 500 Interstate. I strongly advise any curious buyers to get this thing- nobody makes a sport touring bike like this anymore, and Murph is the guy to buy one from.

I juat picked up one of these over on the West coast. Looking at the spark plugs it's been running quite rich. I've got the shop manual, but I've never really worked on carbs and I'm having a lot of difficulty understanding how to adjust the carbs to be more lean. Could I email you for some advice/help on this?
